Fisher Animal Hospital has added a therapeutic laser device to our list of available therapies to help your pet recover from recent or even ongoing ailments. Our therapeutic laser uses the introduction of laser energy to painlessly encourage advanced healing of tissues. By drawing increased blood flow to injured areas of the body, we can promote increased oxygen and nutrients to speed recovery. In cases of arthritis or other chronic causes of pain, the increased blood flow can reduce inflammation, muscle spasms and stiffness.

Laser therapy is useful for the following conditions and more:
  • Surgical incision healing
  • Wound healing
  • Arthritis
  • Some infections
  • Joint Pain
  • Injured tendons and ligaments
  • Strained muscles
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Burns
  • Rehabilitation
  • Post-Orthopedic surgical recovery
  • Hip Dysplasia

Laser therapy does not require sedation and even less restraint than a simple blood draw. Most pets even seem to enjoy their therapy sessions! For maximum benefit, multiple treatments are often recommended. If you think your pet may benefit from laser therapy, call us at   256-766-0343  for an appointment to determine if your dog or cat is a candidate for laser therapy.
